Obituary for Jacqueline Welch

Jacqueline Welch, age 75 years old, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 following an un-repairable heart complication (Baptist Med. Center, OKC). Jacqueline’s love and spirit touched the lives of many people. Jacqueline was born in Wayne Michigan, October 15, 1942 to Homer & Anna Crisp Smith. She attended college in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Eastern Michigan University Jackie and Cecil became acquainted at church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS). When Cecil left on his two year mission, in 1960, Jackie waited for his return. In the fall of 1962 they attended Brigham Young University together. On May 24, 1963, they were married, and sealed, in the Manti Temple, in Manti, Utah, for all eternity. Jackie was a wonderful wife, mother, home maker, a church teacher, and a living example of the gospel. Jacqueline is survived by 4 children; Karen Aittchakch & Ali of Oklahoma City, OK, Diane Welch of Oklahoma City, OK, Allan Welch of Piedmont, OK and Sandra Kay Bennett & Jared of Tulsa, OK, 8 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren. Also by siblings; Madeline Nichols, Anita White & Reita Kay Williams. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her brother, Homer B Smith. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 2:00pm in The Church of Jesus Crist of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow in Kansas Cemetery, 3320 Morgan Road, Piedmont, OK.
